The Juice That Made Me Cry

The Juice That Made Me Cry

About a month ago, I was hanging out at the Badger Hole, sampling some of the newest flavors. One after another, I was enjoying each one dancing across my taste buds. I was trying to figure out which juice would be my newest favorite. And then, it happened...

One deep inhale...exhale...and I felt it. "What? What was that?"  I took a second puff...in and out...it happened again. I felt a tug, right in the center of my heart, "No way, can't be..."

I decided to move on; I'll try a few more flavors and come back to try this one again. "I was just trying too many flavors and need to come back to it." I thought to myself.

A few minutes later, I tried it again...and the same emotion spread through my heart: this spectacular combination of flavors  was reminding me of my grandmother!!! This juice was tugging at my heart strings and bringing back a nostalgic feeling that just made me want to cry...with joy!

This "sublime blend of papaya, guava, and coconut" is none other than Fruit of the Gods. Each summer when I visited my grandmother's home in the village, she would make sure her grandchildren had plenty of papayas, guavas, mangoes and other tropical fruits to eat. Her village is one of my favorite places on earth.

My grandmother passed away a long time ago. Yet, who would have thought that her memories could be evoked by an ejuice!?

Needless, to say, Fruit of the Gods may not be my favorite, but it is my most nostalgic.

Which flavors remind you of home, a favorite place, or a special moment?
